We all want to look and feel our best, especially when it comes to presenting ourselves in swimwear. We have noted a few tips for choosing swimwear and looking your best in it.
Fit: It is essential to get the fit of a garment correct for your body shape in order to look your best. Size and cut of a garment affect the fit so be sure to select a cut that lends itself well to your body shape, in a realistic size. Cut: A good general rule for briefs is that they follow the ‘round’ of your leg (this is where your leg folds to your body) and rest comfortably on the hip. A fuller brief will extend to cover upwards from here, and the bows of a string tie brief will sit slightly above level with your hip bone. Tops should fit to allow a fuller cup to remain supported and keep a smooth cup-profile; and a less full cup should be given gentle support and subtle shaping, a soft padding often gives elegant sculpting.
Size: Select outfits with your true dimensions in mind and without any preconceptions of changing drastically in size. Whatever the cut, style, or colour a suit that is too small will create unsightly bulges and a suit that is too large will sag and you'll be constantly repositioning it. A good fit is the foundation of a stylish look.
Colour: It can be great fun exploring colour and prints through swimwear. Even if you are prone to lots of similar shades in your outerwear wardrobe, playing with colour lends itself well to swimwear because of the smaller surface area of fabric and light-hearted occasions on which it's usually worn. A colour within a swimsuit can look totally different from a similar colour worn as a larger piece of apparel. Be adventurous and have some fun with different colours and prints, it can be very inspiring.
Polishing Touch: Tending to little imperfections will refine your over-all look. Stylish swimwear with well manicured nails; plenty of moisturizer all-over (especially arms, legs, feet and décolleté) and taming of unsightly hairs will give you an all over polished look. Find a hair style that is easy to manage and get used to the feel of fixing it i.e. without looking in a mirror. Stand/sit tall - this will help stretch you out, shoulders back and down; pelvis tipped forward and chin slightly up. A tidy posture will finesse your poolside elegance.
